From writing my first HTML tag to managing production servers. Here is my story.
I am Imad ud deen Hashmi, a full-stack developer and DevOps engineer based in Islamabad, Pakistan. I bridge the gap between shipping polished user experiences and running reliable server infrastructure. Whether I am building a Next.js frontend with pixel-level precision or configuring Nginx reverse proxies on bare-metal Linux, I treat every layer of the stack as my responsibility.
I have managed fleets of production servers, automated deployment pipelines, and built tools that keep dozens of client websites online 24/7. That operations mindset carries into every project I touch. I do not just write code that works, I write code that survives real-world traffic.
My technical sweet spot sits at the intersection of Laravel, Next.js, and Linux. I design database schemas that scale, APIs that stay fast under load, and deployment workflows that eliminate the friction between development and production. When I am not coding, I am reading about kernel internals, tinkering with Docker Compose stacks, or mentoring junior devs on best practices.
I believe the best software gets out of the user's way, and the best infrastructure is the kind nobody notices because everything just works.
Discovered web development by building a simple HTML page in a text editor. The ability to create something interactive from plain text was addictive. Spent months devouring tutorials on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Picked up PHP and MySQL to build dynamic websites. Learned about sessions, authentication, and CRUD operations. Deployed my first LAMP stack on a shared hosting server and felt the rush of seeing a real database-backed app go live.
Started taking freelance projects for custom websites, API integrations, and e-commerce stores. Each project pushed me deeper into Laravel and Linux server administration. Learned client communication, project scoping, and the art of shipping on deadline.
